Global Experts Unite at SOCB Conference to Rethink the Future of Climate, Cities and Culture. Three-day event sparks critical dialogue on balancing progress with heritage and sustainability.
From 11–13 August, the Conference brought together leading voices from across the world to tackle some of the most pressing questions of our time. Against the backdrop of a rapidly changing, fast-paced world, the conference explored how climate challenges, urban growth, and cultural heritage intersect and how they can be harmonised.

Discussions raised fundamental questions: Are we prioritising speed over sustainability? Are we learning from history or overlooking its lessons? Can modern cities match the timeless strengths of historic ones? Have culture and tradition been sidelined in the race towards development?
The event fostered deep, collaborative dialogue, generating actionable insights and paving the way for ongoing research and publication. Delegates left with a shared commitment: to shape a future where innovation and cultural identity thrive side by side.
